By posting a photograph of the recently crafted Time / Space Cube No. 1 (walnut tree, brass, cork, strings cardboard, paper, ink, plastic, glue) (Snizek, 2010) this blog is hereby open to the public.
At least over the next 3 years, we will try to cover a series of our fields of interest and would be delighted if you could find the time to comment, interact and reflect upon our probably at times quite unclear ramblings / ideas / drafts / sketches / etc.

so far I have only thought of the time-space aquarium as a virtual or printed concept. It is quite amazing to see it as a physical model. Would be interesting to interact with it.
You are welcome to pop in, it’s right here on my desk. Time/Space cubes will play rather a big part in my PhD project and in order to convey my ideas as well as generate new ones I decided to build a physical model rather than doodling while explaining.
Building it of tree, brass and string I tried to get as close to the objects we used in science education from early levels on.
Maybe you want to keep an eye on the hägerstrand.org project (link under current projects). Nifty things will happen there as soon as we can free some resources for it – currently it’s launch is scheduled for November 2010.
